Im Confused.

So one of my cats just had kittens, and another one of my female cats seems to want to take over caring for the kittens, the mom cat doesnt seem to care, and still takes care of them, i guess what im trying to ask is if this is normal?!

Yes, it can happen when the two females are closely bonded.

Thats the weird part though is that isnt the mom is my most independent cat out of my 3 cats and doesnt interact with my other 2 cats.
