Ashley, do you live anywhere near Clarksville? My sister lives there!Originally Posted by AshleyNicole
Oh no!! And I'm already terrified of storms!!
I'm getting pretty nervous right now b/c there are some MAJOR storms heading my way here in TN. I've already told my BF he is coming over and staying with me til tomorrow!
Fairly close! I'm originally from Chattanooga, but am going to school in Cookeville. I think Clarksville is about 45 minutes to an hour away? I believe some girls in my class live there...but I may be wrong about the distance!Originally Posted by kittylover4ever

A lightning bolt! For a while I thought it was from you having "gas" while visiting your friend.
I posted about this awhile back, but here in FLorida we get some nasty lightning storms in the summer. My fiance was at the house while I was picking up dinner and a big storm came through. He didn't get off the computer and lightning struck our house and came through the wall. He could actually see a bolt and it grabbe dhold of the tv that was about 3 feet from him! It could have just as easily took hold on to the monitor. Lightning is very powerful and you have to respect itOriginally Posted by kittylover4ever
Some great guesses guys.........At first when this was found, they thought someone broke in and just ransacked their house. So, the police were called. To make a long story short, this is all the result of a lightening bolthitting thier big antenna outside. The force was so powerful, it did all this damage and even melted all of their electrical circuits. It popped off quite a bit of the siding on the outside, rattled all the pictures off the walls in the house, fried all the stuff that was plugged in like puters, fridges, etc. The insurance adjuster and fire inspector both came out and couldn't believe it didn't burn to the ground. Even all of the gutters were blown right off the house!!!!Just goes to show you the force of one lightening bolt! SO, when there are electrical storms, and I know how addicted you guys are to TCS, get off and unplug your computers! You just never know........................
