I've had a couple incidences where I was concerned I hurt my 5 month old kitten by mistake.

Once I stepped on his paw but pulled away fast.

The other, he was nipping at me in play while I slept and I pushed him away really hard because I was half asleep.

In both cases he didn't meow or yelp so that means he wasn't harmed right?

I think if you'd hurt him, he would have let you know about it, unless he was knocked out or something.    Whenever I've stepped on a tail or paw,, there has been an immediate very loud reaction!   Still, it is a good idea to go over him carefully and check for lumps and sore spots.  Also, keep an eye out on him for the next couple of days to see if he seems in any discomfort, at which point it's probably vet time.   But it doesn't sound like it, based on what you've written.

Like suggested, if I suspect an injury, I'll go over to them & palpate the area where I think I might have hurt them. If I did, they'll yelp or withdraw.
