There was a sale at the store on ground turkey so I bought a lot (filled my freezer to the brim), and I'm trying to come up with some ways to make different "flavors" because I don't want my kitten to get bored.
She looooves vegetables for some reason, begging like crazy especially for pumpkin and squash, so I'm thinking of mixing maybe 1 tablespoon in with her food to make it different from just turkey. Do you have any thoughts on mixing some canned tuna in with a batch? I usually don't feed her much fish because I'm worried about mercury, so it would probably be just enough to make it taste different.
Any other ideas? I know I should be mixing her proteins as well as "flavor" but the deal was too good to pass up and I don't have any room left in my small apartment freezer. I will get her on a different protein when this one runs out.
