Oh, bless your heart.
How are you feeling today? Is your fiance' being any better? I'm sorry all of this is happening. Sending lots of good for you to get better and things to work out.

You know, if you make it until Friday evening, you could come to St. Francis Bartlett, and I could take your x-rays!! Would be an interesting way to meet you! Sorry, X-ray is what I think about when I hear about wrecks and stuff.
I am so sorry that this happened. I heard that it was raining really hard about that time. i left work at 11:00 and it had let up. I was so nervous that I was going to get hit too. It has been so long since we have had rain, everyone has forgotten what it is like. That sucks. I hate that you had to go through that. You will probably need to see a Dr. soon though, cause unfortunately, you will probably be even more sore tomorrow. Hopefully, they will give you some pain meds. You need to take it easy for a few days. I wish I could give you some sort of hook-up at the hospital, but those are strings I can't pull. I hope you feel better soon. I am glad that you have insurance that will cover it. Don't stress about it though, there is really nothing you can do about it now. Stressing about the cost will just make you more tense. Try to relax and take it easy. Come see me for x-rays!

I'm glad to see you posting, though I hoped you'd had an exam by now...please be sure to do so tomorrow, if you can't tonight.
As for the feelings when you see your car, I know others will have advice, but mine is that after my 1 "solo" bad accident (only my car involved), I tried to do a long distance drive too soon. I wish I'd taken a bit more time. I was okay with local, but that is probably because my long distance drive took me back to the out of town scene of my accident in the Catskill Mountains.
Just be extra careful for a bit, if you are like me, with time, it gets easier.

I know everything seems really stressful and terrible now, but it will all work out. I've had a few accidents, and I can definitely say that things always ended up better than they looked at first. It was an accident, and it could have happened to anybody. In the words of the cop who was at my first accident, "That's why we call them accidents...if they were intentional we'd all them on-purposes."

You're welcome. I don't know that it makes it less stressful just now, but I hope it helps to know that it will get less stressful eventually.
I'm not sure to be honest. I know the underside is messed up quite a bit. The parts that look the worst are on the front where the "grille" is it's dented in very badly in the middle -but the car isn't crunched up if that makes sense -it's mostly cosmetic i think in the front. The frame is damaged on the passenger side- but i'm not sure if it's necessarly bent enough for it to be considered "totaled." The hood of the car doesn't close right eithor- it's lifted up in spots- so is the part under the windshield wipers- the plastic part on the sides -it's lifted up a bit. Thankfully -both headlights are good - they didn't get broken- i'm sooo happy about that! There is something damaged on the inside of the car - near the passenger side when you look under the hood one of the car parts looks almost shredded or frayed on the end (it sounds worse than it looks on that part- but i just hope it's nothing major in the way of repairs / money goes).Originally Posted by Samantha1979

I hate to say it, but if your frame is bent, they will probably total your car out. Are you sure it is bent? Someone hit me in the side once, and I couldn't open my passenger door. I was in high school, and picked up my friends and took them to school too. They had to crawl through the drivers seat!!When I was finally able to get it fixed, my frame wasn't bent even though I couldn't open the door. Hopefully yours isn't really bent.
I have a whirlpool bathtub- do you think that would be ok to lay in for a bit? I haven't yet because i wasn't sure if it would make it worse or not. I might give that a try tonight. I will try your pillow/bathtowel suggestion and see if it helps. I've been sleeping with a heating pad on my back at night- but i roll around soo much in my sleep i imagine i'm not on it long enough lol.Originally Posted by GailC
Well I hope you sleep with a pillow under your knees and roll up a bathtowel and stick it in your pillow as a neck roll. When I got rear ended several yrs ago I ended up with weeks of P.T. and to this day of I do something to aggravate my neck I start back with the P.T. excercises. Does your gym have a whirlpool tub????
thankyou jenny, i appreciate itOriginally Posted by Jenny82
