I Think This Gray Kitten Is A Maltese

This kitten named Karen is gray unlike her other three litter mates who are all black Bombay kittens as well as the mother cat. Karen is eight weeks old. I did a Google search and it said she is a Maltese, which is a cat with gray fur of an indeterminate breed. It was interesting that she is the only kitten to be gray because the other three kittens are Bombay just like their mother.

Yes, you're correct that the grey (called blue in the cat fancy) would be called a Maltese. The other kittens would be black Domestic Shorthairs, though, as a Bombay is a type of pedigree cat. Blue is the dilute of black, so it's normal for there to be blue kittens in a litter of black kittens. They are all very cute!

They're very cute! Can you keep mom and the babies 100% inside? Do you need help finding a low cost spay/neuter clinic?

They are all very precious! :lovecat:

A cat can become pregnant by more than one tomcat for the same pregnancy, too.
