I can't wait, I am ready to go,even though it is snowing! Some 2ed day of spring.
it is not just the money (though it will be good) I need something to do !!
I'll second that!!! Hope it all goes well!Good luck in the new job, and may there be many good tippers!!
I agree - let's do some positive thinking here! Seriously, though, I'm so glad things are going better for you. I know what you mean about wanting to see their winter homes - I went to college with some people from the "Main Line" in Philly (that's where Grace Kelly was from), and was totally agog when I saw their homes (e.g., a powder room as big as my family's kitchen), complete with butlers and/or housekeepers! However, a lot of those kids were totally screwed up, so money obviously doesn't buy happiness, even if being financially secure means a bit less worry about the future. Just compare yourself to Princess Diana when things are getting to you - nobility, fame, beauty, etc., etc., - your life, with a happy marriage and wonderful kids and grandchildren, has been much richer and more fulfilling than her's ever was (not that I was ever her fan, but I like to use her as a negative example - would you rather be rich, indolent, perpetually dissatisfied in your little cocoon, and obsessed with your physical appearance, or able to cope with life's adversities while managing to remain a giving, loving person who isn't constantly worrying about her "public image"?) Sorry to rant, but she was called the "people's princess" or "queen of hearts", although she couldn't cope with real life, but you've managed to cope with a tremendous amount of bad luck, and emerge intact, so I'd change it to "Queen of Coping" or "The Ultimate Survivor" or "Still Plugging Along". Come on Sherral, you can really inspire people!Originally posted by tulip2454
Really glad it went well on your first day. Now you can think about changing that 'Queen of Bad Luck' title!
