well, was it regular or diet? I ask because if it was regular, he should be fine, but if it was diet, you may want to call the vet and ask if the artificial sweetener will be ok.

My cat once bit into a can of Dr. Pepper and presumably swallowed at least a few drops. He was fine.

Diet Dr. Pepper contains aspartame, which is not likely to poison a cat (as opposed to xylitol, which absolutely can)
Xylitol, Stevia, Aspartame and Other Sugar-Free Stuff
