I want to make my sweetie a CD of love songs, and I have some in mind, but I have a feeling there are songs I haven't thought of that I MUST have on the CD. What are some of your favorites, sweet, sexy, or anywhere in between?
No worries there. Though I can't help loving "What a Wonderful World." Sometimes things are cliché for good reason.Originally Posted by mikenealis
Some of those might not be what you're looking for. In the name of all that is good, do not put Jouis Armstrong's 'What a Wonderful World' or John Mayer's 'Daughters' on there. One is cliche, the other is horrible.
It is funny, but in its own way, that is one of the most real love songs I've ever heard.Originally Posted by menagerie mama

I agree with you...every time i hear that song tears of joy comes to my eyes and I think of my husband.....i am a sucker for romanceOriginally Posted by CarolPetunia
To my amazement, one of the very best love songs I know is by a CURRENT ARTIST -- not a greying boomer like myself! ;-) You cannot make a love song CD without "I'll Be," by Edwin McCain. I just love his heartfelt promise, "I'll be better when I'm older." Oh, how very true...
