Today we took my cat Mr.Tumbles to the vet. He was acting weird this morning, wouldn't move, wouldn't eat, meowed like he was in pain, etc. I immediately knew something was wrong because although he is a talkative kitty, the sounds he was making were unusual for him. I told my mom we needed to take him in and so I loaded him up into the cat carrier. He peed in it which my mom associated with him being anxious in the car but I just thought it was something urinary. We took him in, the vet took his temperature and it was up to 104, then she did bloodwork and everything was normal besides an alleviated white blood cell count meaning an infection somewhere. I did tell her about my worry on the UTI and she said something about his bladder being small, but she didn't say anything about a UTI so I felt relief. Anyway she gave him an antibiotic shot, a flea killer shot, and fluids I think but I'm not sure because my mom was paying, I'm 15. I put Tumbles in my room when I got home and he layed there but not a comfortable position, he's in more of a ball with his head down, I'll try to upload a photo. He lay in the same position for a couple of hours then moved down to the floor of my room and peed on my pajama pants, while meowing in agony. I told my mom that I was sure it was something to do with peeing. He continue to lay in my room and in the bathroom, moving every couple hours or when I move him so I can watch him. Again, it's not like he's comfortably laying there like normal and it's really worrying me! About 10 minutes ago I got up to go to the bathroom and I heard him doing the groan when he pees so I rushed back and he just peed where he was laying on my bed. I moved him and did my best at cleaning it up considering it's 3 in the morning. I really want to get other opinions on this. I love Mr. Tumbles with all of my heart, he's around 3 years old, male and neutered. Maybe I'm just being paranoid and that antibiotic will kick in, I just hope he is feeling better soon.
