I missed National Drink Wine Day!

What a travesty. It was on the 18th, and I did enjoy a glass of wine that day I didn't realize I was celebrating. :lol3:

So, do you like wine? What types do you enjoy?


For reds I like the heavier, bolder ones, like Cabernet, Merlot, Malbec, Shiraz, etc. For whites I prefer Chardonnay.

What a tragedy!  I missed it, too, but am putting in my phone calendar RIGHT NOW!

I;m not overly fond of most whites.  Actually, my taste is wine is very plebian.  I like rich, sweeter reds.  I LOVE Arbor Mist Blackberry Merlot (under 8 bucks a bottle, thankyouverymuch).  I also ADORE Mavrodaphne, a Greek dessert wine.  Give me a bottle of Mavrodaphne, a loaf of artisan bread and a dish of olive oil heated gently with garlic and salted, and I'm set for the night!

Dunno, something deep inside me says that if you are going to drink something made from fruit, you ought to be able to tell that it was made from fruit.  The French would shudder.
