The woman who rescued these little dolls said that they are ragdoll and maine coon mixes. I've been looking for a male ragdoll and am considering a mix due to the prices of the pure breds. What does everyone think of these darlings?
YAY, Just had to let you know that WE are adopting the little grey and white on on the top left picture!! They ARE darling, I can vouch for themOriginally Posted by Annalisa

Thank you for telling me that! I am primarily looking for a male and really wanted a ragdoll. How do you know if they are ragdoll mixes? Thanks!Originally Posted by carolcat
BTW, the two males are the center kitten in both the top and the bottom pictures. :-)
Well, I know Roberta and these kittens were seized from a breeder in Oregon, but they wouldn't surrender the mother cat which was a pure registered ragdoll, she also had maine coon cats, and I think that I mentioned that she has three older kittens that look to me to be pure coonies.....the little kittens in your pictures.....the two males and the other two in the bottom picture look just like raggies almost, the coat texture is not the same, but the markings and the blue eyes are, at least the lil bicolor black male has blue eyes as I remember and I think the other male does too, but I am not sure, you can email Roberta and ask her....but I am sure that Roberta told me the truth. The temperment might be a little different since they are also part coonie....hope this helpsOriginally Posted by Annalisa

The literature suggest that one one has a cat already, it's best to adopt a second cat as a younger kitten of the opposite sex. So, it seems like a great choice to adopt a female kitten.Originally Posted by carolcat
My hubby chose the little grey and white female on the top left picture. Jasper is mine and is "meowmys boy" so hubby chose the little female since she bonded with him and we need the kitten to bond on him instead of me to prevent Jasper from becoming a "green" ragdoll....
That and the fact that we tried this once already and Jasper was very jealous/alpha maleish so we are getting a female .....Hopefully it will work out fine this time, besides, I know that Roberta will work with us if it doesn't..Originally Posted by allissa

Thank you! That helps a lot! I am very interested and at least presently think that I'd love to take the little black and white. My Leela, who is a tiny (six pound) tuxedo gal would love this! I had a wonderful tuxedo boy cat for sixteen years who died a couple of years ago. He and little Lee adored one another and I think that she still misses him!Originally Posted by carolcat

Yes they are, and once again I will note that she also has/had three beautiful maine coonies two males and a female that also need a home if anyone out there is looking for a maine coon kitten......Originally Posted by Wenzee

How long did you wait? My Prince was hissing and growling for a day or two. After that, the two were best of freinds.Originally Posted by carolcat

UGH, two days of almost constant HOWLING from jasper to get in, accompanied by meowing and hissing by kitten in room = take kitten back....plus jasper was DESTROYING carpet on other side of kitten room trying to get in.....Originally Posted by allissa

Prince loves the new kitty, the are both boys. I didn't know then I was supposed to get a female, but it worked out great anyway.
They might need a while to get used to each other still. The way Prince was hissing when I got a new kitten-I never thougth Prince could hiss like that.Originally Posted by carolcat
