I hated that blasted thing--it was heavy and clunky, but, when my last phone died, it was all I could afford. It kept falling out of my handbag, and I think that's how I lost it last Friday. I had only been 3 places: work, lunch, and a store. I didn't discover its loss until the next day. I called each place several times (after calling my phone with the home phone to see if is was in my car, etc.). They were all very helpful, but no one could find it after several days of searching. Someone probably picked it up and kept it, which really angers me. If I had found someone's phone, I'd try to get it back to them. I did suspend my phone number, though. I had so many pics of the cats on it, as well.
Here's a useful tip: if your old phone still works when you get your upgrade, keep it and the charger. The Verizon Wireless store said they'd charge my old, old phone (I had the one before the one that died, but not the charger, I guess), and add it to the plan. My upgrade isn't until June! I could use DH's, but that is in February. I actually like this old phone better than any other one I've had. I did just buy a charger on Amazon for less than $5 with shipping.
If you're wondering why I kept the old phone: our dock is in the bedroom. I tend to forget my phone. I place the old phone on my vanity in my bathroom to remind me to pick up the real phone, as I only charge my phone about once a week. I may have the charger somewhere, but because of that, I may have trashed it. (It's not a universal port on this old phone, so my universal tablet/phone charger is not compatible.)
