We put an ad in the paper, had him tested for disease while being scanned for microchip, called the rescue group and shelter like good rescuers, but now my s/o wants to keep him. I was on the phone with the shelter today, and he came in and asked me to hang up. They did not really seem interested in another found cat, anyway, so I did. There is an ad in the paper that lost a cat, but it is some distance from where we found little Bubba. If someone can prove to us beyond any doubt that he is their kitty, they can have him back, but otherwise he is staying. He is unbearably cute, even if he is kind of a hissy little butthead. He thinks he is head of the household already, and completely ignores Pearl's little hissy fits when he comes up on the bed with us. The others have begun to ignore her fits, too, and she stays for her cuddles anyway. I think he is a good thing for our little feline family. Oh, crap! I just realized I forgot to ask the vet if it actually is a boy! We have been going on the assumption that he is, but we have been wrong before. Duh, huh!
