I Found This!

Hey guys I found this guy and am gonna try to trap him anyone have an idea what might be wrong with his eye? I can tell hes blind in it or very impaired. He got super close to me too so i think hed be easy to tame.

That picture isn't close enough to see his eye that good. I don't have any medical expertise, but maybe it got infected from illness or a scratch. I hope you catch him.

Thanks for helping him. I hope the vet can save his eye. Maybe some antibiotics would help if it's not an old injury.

Well how did it go?

This is what I got this morning!

Someone set the trap off. But no one! Probably chuck hes my fat walmart cat. My phones so slow is that a possome?? I cant spell it lol

Yes a big opossum! On the other hand the night before it was these guys. This was a twofor...two traps two big racoons. Anybody who wants to make a pet out of a 50 lb raccoon is more adventurous than I am.

Did you get the raccoons and opossum fixed? I wanted a raccoon as a pet when I was a kid, they are cool. But opossums look like huge rats to me, gross.

No but I catch them all the time so if you decide let me know. I usually take them up the road and turn them loose. The neighbors think I’m nuts that I don’t shoot them. I month ago I was on this dirt road opening my tailgate to release a big racoon. This farmer pulled up and asked what I was doing. I told him I had a racoon and asked if he wanted it. He said sure! So we went to the back of my truck and there was 50 lbs of very angry racoon snarling and biting! He looks at me and said “but it’s alive”. I offered to release him into his truck if he rolled down the window! He just shook his head and drove off!

Naw, I don't want one now. We had some babies we tried to save, but they died. My brother shot their mom.

Wow your brother must be local! I tried to explain catch and release to one of the locals. He just leaned down to me and said “son, I’m just here to kill critters!”

Their idea of Audubon is “if it flies, it dies”!

Yes, I come from a farm family. They like to shoot critters.
