Backstory:
Like many of you I’m sure, I’m the kind of cat mom that loves to know anything and everything about my cats and their histories. Since I got Chilli when she was 3 years old, from her previous owners who had only owned her for about a year, I was forced to sadly accept that I would never see kitten pictures of her, or even know her exact birthday... UNTIL NOW!
Last night I couldn’t sleep, so decided to do a little digging around the popular Korean cat forums/cafes (I live in Korea) to see if, by chance, I could find any postings for a Norwegian Forest Cat born in 2014. I remembered her previous owners had gotten her together with an Abyssinian cat, so I added that to my search... SUCCESS!
On one of the internet cafes, I suddenly found the adoption posting from when she was 2 years old, put up (alongside her Aby friend) by her first owner presumably. Not only were there recent pictures so I could 100% tell it was her, there were also KITTEN PICTURES! of both Chilli and her Aby friend. There was also lots of other details I hadn’t known before, such as her vaccination/medical record and her BIRTHDAY!
Previous owners told me they didn’t know her birthday, but it was listed on the posting all along. Seems like the original owner had to move back in with their parents, who hated cats, and so was forced to rehome Chilli and the Aby.
I still am curious where this original owner got her from, and curious if there are any more adorable kitten pictures, so I may reach out to this person to ask and to let her know that Chilli is doing well.
Anyway, enough of that... look at the baby Chilli! They aren’t the best quality since I just pulled them from the website post, but still absolutely adorable. Best Christmas present ever
