I have this wallet, only it's in a dark reddish-burgundy tone.

It took me years to find this wallet. I'm very picky about wallets and have bought many over the years but there was always something "missing". It was too big or too small; not enough compartments; too many compartments; it didn't open the right way; too hard to find things; difficult to access... etc etc etc.
And then one day I was at "Bowes" one of my favourite stores and happened upon this wallet and I was in love! It was absolutely perfect!
I've had it for less than 1 year I think. About 1 month ago or so I noticed that the wallet itself was coming detatched from the metal clasp on one side... the side with the flap and main wallet compartments. A few days ago it became completely detached from that side. There were no rips or tears though.
I called a cobbler who quoted me about $15.00 to reattach the frame to that one side.
Today I decided to try fixing it myself. I wasn't able to fit the frame over the flap of cardboard/material because that one end that started it all was slightly frayed. So I pulled out the old Elmer's glue, applied a bit in between the cardboard and fabric, and then a bit along the top edgeto provide more strength and let it dry.
Once it was dry the frame slipped easily back over the fabric. So I applied some glue to both sides of the fabric and reattached the frame. Now my wallet is as good as new and you would never know it had been broken.
Easy fix and it saved me $15.00 and a trip to the cobbler!
