On another good note - our current deliver person is a gem. If we have a package he will bring it up to the door along with all of our mail - even offered to help me with a large package. He will definately be on our holiday list!

Geeez! I don't think we've ever spent over about $600 on the guts for a computer ... That's the problem with "brand-name" 'puters...

Well, actually that makes sense (using it as a tax write-off.) I hear ya about upgrading, you really probably could've gotten it to a better quality for about the same. I'm glad Sunny's into this stuff, I could probably do it if I really had to, but by this time there's so much "backstory" that I'd have to learn I just really don't even want to think about it.Originally Posted by Arlyn
LOL well, I drive a 98 pickup and it needs crutches.
I can't begin to explain my stepdad and his ideals.
It was purchased purely as a business expense, so I'm thinking he wanted to spend more for the write off?
My old machine upstairs could've been repaired to the same quality as this machine for around $400
I'm SOOO glad I'm not the only one who names my cars!!! I've had "the Shuttlecraft" (ex hub named it not me), Eugene the Jeep, and now Camille the CamryOriginally Posted by RoseHawke
I think Julius (Orange Julius, my truck) does quite well for his age. Ummm, "good work truck,".
Not only do their package delivery skills suck, but so do their driving skills... I have been almost hit/run of the road/cut off by more DHL drivers than I care to think about! I am tempted to let one hit me.Originally Posted by pinkdaisy226
Just had to add... I've decided DHL (a delivery service) is the worst of all. I was sitting on the couch in my living room, where I can look out into my fenced in patio (which has full view of the gate and front door). All of a sudden I see a delivery man open my gate, THROW the package AT my door and then leave. Didn't even TRY to see if I was home, let along take in consideration that the contents of my package might be fragile. Grrrr....
