Turtle was in the window when we pulled up to the house. She was pushing her head against the screen I thought she was going to pop it out AGAIN!! I got out of the car, looked up and started talking to her, but she disappeared.Originally Posted by Winchester
Welcome home, Cheryl!
What did Turtle do when you came home?? I'm sure she was so happy to see her mom!
Your post brought tears to my eyes. Bless that little girl's heart. She is a sweetie. And she's missed playing fetch with you. That's her way of telling you that she's missed you!Originally Posted by Bellaandme

So I step inside the apartment and gently call her name. No Turtle. I did it again. No Turtle.
OMG!! She doesn't remember me??
Then I see a sweet face peeking around the corner at me. Ah, there she was--WITH HER TOY IN HER MOUTH!!!! And she came right to me, drop the toy at me feet and looked up at me.
I think I created a monster when I taught her how to fetch.
So that's what we've been doing now for an hour. No hot bath, no snuggles, no nap, no breakfast. Just fetch, fetch, fetch....
That is so so true!!! They've got such a cold reputation from people who don't know them. Aloof, sneaky, anti-social. And a smart cat (Turtle) is compared to a dog!!!!!!!!!! It's so insulting. it makes me wanna HISSSSSSSSSOriginally Posted by Pat
What a special, special girl. I think cats aren't given enough credit for what they know, and how they relate to those they love.
