After the spaying, will there be less shedding because of the hormone changes caused by the operation? Will she get more fluffier because of it?

Hi. Cant really be of any help, given I don't know if Ragdolls would react differently than other cats to spaying. Gracie had been spayed immediately before she found me and was a DSH calico, but with LOTS of hair. Feeby, a DSH diluted tortie has shorter hair and not as much, but it is very soft like bunny hair - both before and after spaying.

Hope others will pipe in soon!!!

It's known in dogs that neutered longhaired males will get a weird coat. It sometimes happens to females too, but it's not usually as dramatic. I've never personally observed it in cats.

Thanks. Cause I have noticed that while she's in heat, she sheds more hair and also eats less.

The eating less when in heat is pretty typical. The shedding more hair - could that be from rolling around and rubbing up against things more while in heat?
