Well, thats what my friend has started calling me anyway!

I have bought 4 pairs of shoes this week and now have no money for the rest of the month!

In my defence, they are all so pretty and I love them so..

Any more centipedes out there?

But can you be a centipede if you only can wear a pair at a time?

Personally I'd call you Imelda Marcos!

lol!!

Thats what my mum calls me!

I read somewhere that theres 3 types of women, those who buy shoes, those who buy bags and those who buy make-up/beauty products!

She called the shoe lover's 'Imelda's'!

I used to be the same, and as i'm a fast reader it used to cost me a fortune!

Then luckily, a new teacher joined at the school my mum works at, and started bringing in crates of unwanted books every other month.

My friend who sadly emigrated, also donated his book collection to me as he couldnt take it with him, and at the places I have been on work expereince at have given me all the unwated books that they have to review for the magazines.

Plus everyone knows what to get me for birthdays or xmas!

So I havent had* to buy a book in a few months.

*(ok, i have lapsed a few times and bought a few on the sly!
)

Books are a pleasure that I dont feel guilty about as I dont watch TV and they last far longer than magazines.

Maybe that should be 4 types of women then?!

But buying books doesnt feel 'naughty'! So I act like it doesnt count!

Shoes, make up and bags feel more decadent!

Depends on how much/how often you buy books.

I now buy online - it is much cheaper!

We have some fantastic cheap book stores around. They look really run down and dingy but are so cheap!

Amazon is fantastic too.

I think my husband is very lucky I am not a centipede. I only have 2 feet but approximately 35 pairs of shoes for those 2 feet. I can't imagine how many pairs I would need for 100 feet.

I haven't seen a shoe store that I can walk past yet.

Ok, so I'm a little strange but my big shopping fetishes are
cleaning gadgets (or gadgets period),
house stuff (stuff to decorate with)
beauty products
shoes
Clothes come last because it is sooo hard for me to find clothes that fit me (I'm built funny...) but don't cost a small fortune!!

My husband read this thread over my shoulder and was outraged that Nicky spent so much on shoes.
"What is she going to do all month?!! That's ridiculous!!"
I'm like, "what are you going on about?" I did a little armchair pyschoanalysm and figured out he was really upset at me for having so many shoes. It was buried deep, but we got there in the end.

Enjoy all your shoes ladies!! It's normal for woman to love shoes.
