Hunter has always been a picky eater.  He is quarantined for scratching me and I am taking him to the vet after he gets out.  He is still pooping so he is obviously eating something.  Is this normal behavior for a homesick cat, should I worry about him or is he just not liking their brands and flavors as per his usual fussiness?

It could be he doesn't like the foods; it could also be the stress of everything that has gone on.  If he isn't eating at all it is a concern though.  That is dangerous for cats.

Why can't you get him out sooner? If it was a scratch they don't quarantine that I have ever heard of. Bites yes but scratches no. I would want to get him away from animal control ASAP if it was me. Probably terrified there.

No joke, quarantined for scratching? Why would anyone call animal control on their own cat?

Ok I just read her thread on what happened. I hope you can get your cat back soon and to the vet to be checked out
