My 4 month old kitten is 6 lbs! He was the largest of the litter. Am I feeding him too much?

He's a Siamese mix - was a bottle baby abandoned at the shelter with his siblings. Any idea how big he is going to be?

He's getting 1/4th cup of food twice a day.

You can't feed a kitten too much. Until they are done growing (usually 12-18 months) they are bottomless energy puts needing lots of calories to fuel their growth. Just keep an eye on him and once he stops getting taller or longer you will know it is time to cut back.

As to final size, 4 month size times two +/- 10% is a good estimate. So 11-13 pounds is likely his adult healthy weight but could be more.
