Hi All!
I'm new here, just thought I'd introduce myself and my furry friends.
Here's Pumpkin, our ~1-year old rescue-Tortie.
She's the absolute queen of Meow, being able to out-Meow cats three times her size. She likes to be social and be stroked and pet, but doesn't care for laps or being held. She also has a strange fascination with grooming the hair of humans. Definitely a strong case of "tortietude" in this one. She was named for the color of her eyes, which get to be a deep orange in the afternoon sunlight (though it's a hard thing to photograph).
And here's Zero, our ~5 month old new-arrival:
He's timid but playful, loves laps, cuddling, and blankets. We think he was born in the out-doors, because when he came into our home, *soft* things like blankets and pillows were a new and wonderful experience for him. He also likes to wrestle with comforters and the occasional human forearm.
Right now, Zero is mortally afraid of Pumpkin, who seems to see him as some sort of play toy for batting around. We're keeping them separate for the time being, and trying to get them used to one another in a carefully controlled way.
Well, that's all for now. This forum is awesome =^_^=
