My mom asked if I wanted to meet her out at this Mongolian restaurant that we eat at often after she got off work a few hours ago, so my stepdad and I met her out there and went in. We got our seat and our waitress came over to ask what we wanted for drinks and was talking a bit before we went up to get our food.
I was the last to come back to the table of the three of us, and when I got back, our drinks were already there. When I sat down, I started taking a drink and my mom says, "The waitress asked if you were 12 or under so if you were you'd get the kid's price for your meal."
I almost choked on my drink.
I'm pretty sure most of you on here don't know too much about me, so..
I'm 19, I'll be 20 in December.. I'm a bit short (5'4") and most people that don't know me always seem to age me down.. usually to about 16 or so. I never wear any makeup, so that may be another reason people don't think I look 19. But I have never had someone ask if I was that young. At first I thought my mom was kidding, so I was like "You're joking right?" and she was like "No, I heard her ask if you were 12 or under when I was coming back to sit down"..
I started laughing, but really.. is that bad? I mean, I know people take it as a compliment when they have someone say they look younger than they really are, but twelve??
