Hey guys, so steroid injection for Dari doesn't seem to have worked. See thread 'update on fur loss and scratching' for more details (not sure how to link to threads, sorry).
So Dari has her cone back on as she has scratched herself again on top of her head and under one eye. I thought she was getting a bit better although she was still scratching but not the case.
I am really now thinking it's anxiety, her body language last night was very hunched up and tense (have attached a pic).
Been back to vet tonight (saw a different one again) who has prescribed a quick course of antibiotics and who is going to speak to the dermatology specialist tomorrow.
However I am struggling to pill Dari. She's stressed enough as it is so I'm reluctant to grab her and try to forcibly get her to swallow the tablet plus which not sure how easy it would be as she is in a cone.
She's pretty fussy and so far I've tried bits of the following:
Tuna
Mackerel
Stinky yoghurt treat in a tube for cats
Ham
Cheese
Sliced beef
She won't touch any of these. The treats I have aren't the type you can hollow out and put anything inside.
The other two were easy to pill lol, tuna and yoghurt treats all the way!!
Any ideas?
