If you are worried, I would talk to your vet. Ours was really understanding. He wanted to wait a bit but after we got our girl kitten fixed, I just wanted to get the boys done with, so I just called our vet and he said he would be more than happy to fix them, even though they were a few months off when he normally does it.

Even if he is just playing, he is figuring things out. Call your vet and get it scheduled! He should be safe and fine.

Omelet will be getting neutered as soon as he is 3 pounds and 3 months old. He is a little small for his age, so it may be closer to 4 months old

6 months is what it *used* to be only because that's when vets were taught to do it in vet school. This is no longer the case. You still find vets who do it at 6 months but there are plenty who are comfortable with early spay/neuters and will do it as long as the animal weighs 2 lbs.

I would do it now, ASAP. If your vet won't do it at this age, there are plenty that will.
