How much should I feed my overweight cat?

Baby food? Never heard of that method with cats! Very interesting! I've decided to break him up into two feedings a day! Starting tomorrow! Ill do the same with the kitten!

My cats have been on auto-feed all their lives, 9 & 10 years.  My male is a large Tuxedo and if even not fat would be big.

Unfortunately he weighs 17.5 lbs and I have to reduce his weight.  One of the problems with him is that he will eat until he makes himself sick, then I get to clean up the mess.  I realize the first thing I have to do is change them to scheduled feeding.  If I can remain sane during this time I will be lucky.

Any suggestions about the best way to do this?  Oh I feed them Nutro Natural Choice and have been feeding Senior/Indoor, but must purchased Weight Loss

I forgot to mention that I feed my cats a tablespoon a night of wet food but will increase that also.
