Ever since I had to put Buddy to sleep last year (Oct. 31), Spike, his brother has started to groom me and licking me all over my face. He doesn't do that with any other cats. Just me. Any of you experiencing this?
It hurts, so I don't put up with it. I am on blood thinners and my skin is sensitive and the blood is right at the surface. Where ever they lick, it bruises.
If this wasn't the case, I probably would think it's cute and let them do it.
Yes, one of my cats, Bobby, does that to our whole family when he is snuggling with us. I don't mind it. Not exactly sure why he is doing it, but I just take it as his way of showing affection.

Three of eleven - Oz, Clawed-Ya and Moo Shu Snowshoe - do. The Snowshoe will, in fact, lick your entire face off - like the furry protagonist in some low-budget 1950s horror movie - if you don't discourage her. I've always assumed that I - like so many other things in this world - simply taste like chicken.
