I don't have ANY! Can you believe that? It's horrible! I'm working on it though. I'm getting rid of my roommate that is allergic to them hehe. Then I will have 2 kitties!
We only have two. I would like another one but my wife thinks we will become the weird people with too many cats and no kids. I'll have to show her this poll, maybe it will influence her!
Who says it's a bad thing to be a couple of weirdos with 9 cats and no kids (and every intention of staying that way)?!?!?! :laughing2 I proudly wear my title of crazy cat lady!
Oh, and it helps to keep things peaceful if some of the bunch are related-5 of my nine are a moma cat and her 4 children, who were all rescued when the kittens were 2 days old.
We have two cats, but, we also feed three feral cats that roam outside our apartment. The only problem is that our landlady threatened to evict us because we were leaving outside containers for them. We still try to feed them whenever we can. It makes us sad that we can't do more for them.
I had to click on less than 5 and I suddenly felt all guilty like I should have 10 or something! Then I remembered that the kitty population can get as high as 9 if I have some tiny visitors come my way.
Do you think the landlord would let me have 7 more?
We had four in our apartment, although that many was not allowed but we knew we where going to be moving. Now we have a house and promptly got three more. We have two of my friends cats visiting also and it is no problem so I know the new cat will be no problem. The only complaint is I have all persians How do you keep your tubs unplugged.
LOL I have to vacuum several times a day to keep up with the hair!

We rescued two (Lazlo and Sheldon), then rescued a third (Munchkin). We care for lots outside, and have gotten three of them adopted - two have already gone to their new home (last week. Yay!) We actively practice Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) despite having other full time jobs.
For those of you who feed outside cats, you should consider talking to the Landlord about trapping them in order to stop the proliferation of unwanted cats, which will be a problem for the building and/or area whether you feed them or not.
Low-cost spay/neuter resources are available at SpayUSA. You can also simply call a local Vet to ask about local low-cost programs (of which they would be aware.)
...and if the only problem the landlord has with feeding the cats is the containers, you can check out feeding options and suggestions at Alley Cat Allies, an organization devoted to aiding feral (wild) and stray cats: Alley Cat Allies. The site has feeding information, as well as "leaflets" with arguements you can provide for the benefit to your community for caring for these cats.
I think so! I've haven't updated the thread for fear of being wrong again!! But her new mom (Debbie) and I have been communicating. It seems like a great place, and she is a truly lovely woman. The only reason Boog hasn't gone yet is because Debbie will be flying out East, but she doesn't have exact dates yet. It was going to be around Christmas, and has been pushed back to the beginning of the new year. So when I have a date that she will be picking up Boog, and flying back to Portland with her (with Boog in the cabin!), I'll update the thread!!!
Our most cats ever at the moment! Intended to have four (Willow, Suzy, Jinx and Tango) and ended up with Shadow, Bel and Bonnie too. Current cat population stands at 7.
