Got home around 10 a.m this morning and it's great to be home. Thank you everyone for all your thoughts and prayers. They DEFINITELY did the trick. Surgeon said everything looks great. There was one pre-cancerous polyp that we removed, the mass he removed was cancerous but he got it all, no lymph nodes involved. Best of all - no chemo necessary. Of course it I had to do it I would have, but this is so much more encouraging. Our insurance will cover in-home nurse visits as long as I need it, so why not take advantage of it. Our cardiologist, Dr. Walter, came to see him twice a day all week long. The internist, Dr. Vicky, has been in touch and she's even taking Paul to lunch Monday. What a great team of drs. If Dr. Vicky hadn't insisted I get the colonoscopy I would really have been in big trouble later on.
Just a little sore, achy, but nothing I can't handle. Tippy is happy to see me, Angel only needs Paul and nobody else in the world.
Will keep you posed.
And, Pam, thank you so much for keeping TCS updated. Paul loved talking to you on the phone and said you are a wonderful person. But we all know that!!!
