I am wanting to see if anyone can help me determine if these kittens might be mixed with a Exotic/wild? Unfortunately when I was at the hospital having our new baby boy, our beautiful Himilayan slipped out while our older kids were watching her. She did end up pregnant.
Earlier this summer my oldest son and I were on the back deck, he mentioned he saw a quite a few wild animals in our yard lately, like that one. I turned and was amazed at what I saw, I live on the edge of a small town, next to a hay field with a tree line. What I saw was a black cat about the size of our female German shepherd, the tail was like a thick rope, if I didn't know better I would say it was a small panther. Of course, everyone thought I was crazy, until recently. My husband went to the car one night and saw a huge black thing drop out of the neighbors tree. We did not see for a few months until a week or so ago, I saw it again in the field behind the house, my husband went into the field too and saw it from a distance. We are trying to get a pic of him keeping a camera ready.
Now back to the kittens, when they born we noticed how huge their paws were compared to their bodies. Then as they grew they were oddly skittish even though they were handled everyday by our teenagers, being a first time mom our himilayan needed lots of attention and encouragement to take care of them. The also, had pine cone like tails thick at the base and puffy then went to a point. Their ears were huge and folded ears. They now have yellow/gold eyes. Now that they are 12 weeks old they are playful, and have dog-like behavior. They make strange noises, not quite a meow, more like a chatter. Only occasionally meow, but are very vocal cats. They walk strange as well, they keep a hump in their back and stiff legged in the back, not graceful like any other cat we have had, (I think of a raccoon). They would play by bouncing and doing acrobatics, they climb like spider monkeys with all four feet. They are very energetic, stoutly built muscular with thick bellies. They still have big paws and large hips and back legs.
Oh and the blue one has a deformed tail. It is prematurely short on the end., like it curls up on itself.
With all the hybrid breeds people are keeping, I just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas about what these beautiful kittens could be. There are five will attach pics of them and their mom, we are keeping them all. Things I have read made my thoughts Maine coon first, then bob cat, or maybe a savannah. Or who knows maybe just a crazy big domestic cat.
Sorry for the wall of text but I want to find out if my thinking is crazy that there is something different about these guys.
Ok I am ready to be tarred and feathered
Thanks for any help in figuring this out
Ok iPad won't let me post pic I will add from pc.
