Hello everyone,
I am new here (hence posting in this forum), but am not new to cats... Well, at least relatively speaking. I grew up with 2 cats (both mixes found on the street and in the woods) and have just adopted *my* first cat (as an adult), Toby. Toby is also a mix, ~3yr old male (neuter) brown spotted/mackeral tabby.
I came to your forum looking for advice on what to feed my new, chubby, guy, but I think I'll have to stick around for a while, since I'm bound to have new Q's for you guys and I enjoy learning about all manner of pet/animal husbandry stuff (I suppose that makes me a pet-geek)
A little about me:
I've recently graduated w/ a masters in ed. and I have a bachelor's in art (BFA). I live in the middle of nowhere (so we don't have any specialty pet stores other than petsmart and soon-to-open petco). I like reading, listening to good music, and creating/viewing art. My other (current) pets include a dog (max, boxer-lab mix) and many, many tropical fw fish (I am very much a fish geek and keep tropical planted tanks).
I look forward to hanging out here and want to thank you guys for the great advice you've already given me and for your patience, as I'm sure to annoy you with many other questions in the future.
Art
p.s. I'll eventually get around to loading a pic of Toby, when I figure out how.
