Hello! I own 4 cats
-2 years old
-1 year old
-1 year old
-4 months old
Recently I was fostering some kittens which appeared to have herpes (to be clear, I didn’t know about this and the one who provide us the kittens didn’t know it as well)
The thing is that these kittens had given my cats herpesvirus and Im scared of any of them being “carrier” of this virus forever.
Also one of my cat is epileptic so I don’t want her to get more sick and she’s the only cat that hasn’t been infected for now.
The vet told me to get them some drops in order to heal/calm this infection but the cats are in different “stages” of the virus so,I don’t know what to do so that this won’t be an ever-ending problem.
Is there any way to know if my cats are carriers of herpes although there are no symptoms active?
*Another point worth noting is that I live in an apartment and I can divide them in my bedroom,a big playpen and the ones that roam free… So this is kind of hard for me.
