Blood Removal!
Every nurse on the planet knows this one. It's saved an ENTIRE uniform for me once. Came on shift. went to a patient getting a unit of blood, went to slow it down, the tube came out of the bag, and the whole unit of blood came down on my head and all over me and my uniform. I looked like Carrie, in the movie "Carrie!"
Try to get to the blood stain while still fresh, dry will work, but takes more time. Pour COLD water over stain, or soak. soap area with liquid soap, brush with old toothbrush for a minute or two rinse. Apply hydrogen peroxide over stain...it will fizz...let stand a few minutes. Rinse with COLD water, keep repeating until stain is gone. It has worked for me with any type of fabric/color. Though I never tried silk...never wore a silk uniform..LOL!
