I recently adopted a kitten from a shelter, they said he was 10weeks but he's actually 14weeks according to my vet. He has a weird fur feel.. his hair is short but his fur is really thick and he looks like he has bed head all the time lol his fur curls up in some spots like on the side of his neck and his whiskers are curly ..the shelter said he was a domestic short hair but I know hes more than that..if anyone has any ideas, please share..

How cute! His curled whiskers (his fur looks slightly curled, too) indicate that he has what we call the "Rex" mutation. So you can call him a rexed red classic tabby and white Domestic Shorthair. That Rex mutation of his might be just random, or maybe he has some rexed breed in his heritage (based on his head and body type my best guess would be maybe some Devon).
