Hi there, my name is Greg and one of the guys in my band was forced to move in with his inlaws with his wife and kids so I ended up taking his female Persian and male tabby. Little was I to know that the Persian wasn't spayed and the tabby wasn't fixed either. Fast forward 12 months later and Diva, the Persian just gave birth earlier today in my brother and his wifes closet, no less. 2 so far........and they're on a bunch of old shirts. Now I had set up something dark and quiet for her in my room in the previous weeks. I thought we had an understanding. Apparently not.
Now, first of all, she is growling when she goes in to see the babies, but that may be just because we're all standing around near the closet, watching. Also, Diva has an affinity with ME......for some strange reason, that is......I feed her and pet her and she sleeps in my room often. Is there a problem with the male tabby going in and seeing the babies? He's curious and he knows and I just don't want any problems. Also, its 2 am almost and I have my door closed and my bro has his open so they can get to their food and litter in the hall and Diva can get to her babies. Well, it seems like since this afternoon, Diva has been ignoring them. Is it normal for her to spend so much time away from her babies so early? What should I do, I don't want them to starve and all Diva seems to care about us whether my doorr is closed. When is it ok to move them?
