My cat hit the wall yesterday while playing with our other cat and got confused. Then his eyes kept rolling. His body trembled. We took him to the doctor quickly and the doctor said he should be monitored. They did not have a CT scan and only took X-rays and blood tests. In the end, they said to bring it again tomorrow for examination. My cat didn't sleep all last night. He was constantly confused. did not eat food And he didn't know me either. It was as if he could not see and he was constantly walking around the house with his head tilted and his right eye drooping. I took him to the doctor again today and am waiting for the final answer. Do you think he had a stroke? plesase tell me

That is something I cannot answer, but he hit his head hard enough to cause some kind of damage. I am sure his brain is most likely swollen, did they give him a steroid shot to take the swellinng down, or can tehy? I am so sorry, it sounds serious. I will pray for your little one, please keep trying to get him to eat and drink, get some lickable treats........

Thank you. Not sure about steroid SHOT. I am asking today, I am very concerned and find it strange that a game can lead to such a situation. I try to feed him. He did not eat anything last night. It is like an alien. He doesn't know me. Last night he only recognized me by the smell of my shirt.

Concussions, also called TBIs (traumatic brain injury) can happen to cats just like with people.

You did the right thing by rushing him to the vet!

Confusion and nausea are normal signs of concussions. But speak to the vet today about the symptoms from last night.

If he hit his head that hard and is as confused as you said he may not have an appetite. Talk to your vet about syringe feeding him or try something really smelly to see if he'll want to eat. Here are some suggestions: How To Get Your Cat To Start Eating Again - TheCatSite I also second consulting a specialist, e.g. Veterinary Internal Medical Specialist or Neurologist. Please keep us updated. Sending special thoughts. :vibes::vibes:
