SAVE THE DOGS OF BUCHAREST - URGENT - ADOPT A PUPPY

Between 200.000 and 300.000 stray dogs live in the streets of Bucharest, Romania.
Starting from March 1rst, 2001, in order to resolve this problem, the City decided :
- to capture all the dogs in the streets
- to sterilize a big number of these dogs- to ask people to adopt them
- to kill sick, old and aggressive dogs
Dogs who will not be adopted and not be under the
responsability of people will also be killed.
The Foundation Animals without Frontiers (Belgium - France -
Romania) works in Bucharest since 1998 when Brigitte Bardot
came in the capital of Romania to start an international committee to take care of the stray dogs.
AWF sent from Belgium to Romania an animal ambulance to
transport the dogs to the clinics, in order to be sterilized and cooperated with several other animal welfare organizations. We also participated to buy a mobile vet clinic.
But now we must react to an URGENT situation.
WE DONT AGREE THAT THOUSANDS HEALTHY DOGS COULD BE KILLED.
That's why :
1. We start a big international adoption program of puppies.

Why puppies ?
- to not put them again in the streets for more than 10 years
- they are easy to be transported in foreign countries
- ... and they are so lovely and will be easier adapted in a family
2. We install kennels near the buildings or in the gardens in Bucharest.

This method will save a part of the dogs because they will be considered as adopted and will be sterilized, vaccinated and indentified. These kennels will be financed by Animals without Frontieres or paid by sponsors or by local people who will adopt the dogs.
3. Our animal ambulance will help the population and other
organizations.

Our ambulance transports the dogs to the clinics, where they
are sterilized and vaccinated. It also transports puppies to be adopted.
4. We installed an adoption center for puppies, in Bucharest.
----------------------------------------------------------
The puppies who are proposed for adoption stay in transit in
our adoption center, to be observed, vaccinated and then to be ready and in good health for adoption.
They can be adopted by romanian people and/or by foreign animal lovers all over the world.
Animals without Frontiers also installs an adoption center for the puppies of Bucharest in Belgium and in France, where the Foundation is located.
TO BE EFFICIENT, THIS PROGRAM NEEDS A MASSIVE HELP FROM ALL ANIMAL LOVERS.

We need :- SPONSORS to buy and install kennels in public and
private areas. The name of the sponsors or animal lovers will be written on the kennels and they will receive a picture of the kennels in their final place.
One kennel will save the life of one dog.
The price of one kennel, including additional costs is $ 25.00 (option : + $ 5 if we put a plate with the name of the sponsor on the kennel)
So, $ 25 is the price of one dog's life ...
Help us to buy 1 kennel and save 1 dog.
Help us to buy 100 kennels and save 100 dogs. ...
- we need NEW FAMILIES TO ADOPT THE PUPPIES. In
Romania and all over the world.
- They are vaccinated and in good health.
- You will receive pictures of the puppies and all the details about them.
- You will only have to pay for the transport. This price can be very different depending on the country of destination.
- FINANCIAL HELP to manage this big INTERNATIONAL
ADOPTION PROGRAM and to manage all these activities in
Bucharest. (Our adoption center, medical costs, transports in our ambulance, kennels)
We hope that all ANIMAL LOVERS in the world will understand
that this is an EMERGENCY. The capture of the dogs already
started in Bucharest.
