Hi all,
This is my first time on here although I should've signed on sooner, I have a cat pumpkin who is seven years old and the love of my life! Two years ago he had to have emergency surgery on his bladder because it burst due to a blockage in his urethra. The surgery was very successful and he was very healthy after. Unfortunately the year after that we had a little scare with an Easter Lily which I now know to never keep any type of plant or flower in my house for safety purposes. He did get treatment for that as well & nothing negative came up, thankfully. Although that was a scary we made it through fine until today two weeks ago I took him to get his comprehensive check up and he had elevated liver enzymes (178). The doctor said that it was simply a UTI with no crystals and gave me Clavamox for two weeks to give to him. last night when I took him to get his blood work checked she told me that nothing had changed and the ALT level was still high (168). She told me that I have to get abdominal ultrasound. I am desperate in the fact that I will do anything to get him healthy and stay healthy. I've already spent thousands of dollars to keep them alive I'll go the extra mile to get him back to full stable health. Any suggestions or information you can give me is very much appreciated. I have already ordered milk thistle however I know that this is not a cure I'm hoping that it will help him. His ultrasound is in about a week, so hopefully don't hear any horrible news. :rub:
