Hi guys! I pulled into my driveway today and was approached by a small orange cat. I reached down to pet it and it basically crawled up my body like a tree and started wrapping itself around my neck while purring. Naturally I couldn't leave this sweet baby outide by itself in the rain. I had my dad bring my cat carrier out and put it in that, and it's in a separate room right now with the door closed. It doesn't look like it's starving, but it was very hungry. Pretty sure it's female. I think it was dumped; it happens a lot around here. It's a very friendly kitty. I would keep it, but I'm working on moving with some friends and we already have so many animals it's making it difficult, there's no way I could take another one in. I'm reluctant to bathe her, since I don't know where she came from and what she could be carrying. I don't really want to risk being scratched or bitten. I don't want to just leave her how she is though. I didn't find any fleas, but she does have several ticks. I'm also worried about introducing her to my cats. My two are strictly indoor only. They are both vaccinated, so I may just be overly paranoid about spreading something. I'm keeping her in another room for now regardless. I gave her some wet food, which scarfed down. I'm wondering about leaving her some dry while I'm at work, but I don't want her to make herself sick. How often should I feed her? How should I go about bathing a strange cat? Help me!
