Call a wildlife rescue / rehab for advice. They may send someone to come get the chipmunk or advise you to open an outside door and all windows to allow the chipmunk to escape. Put your cat into a secure room with doors and windows closed to prevent the cat from escaping as well.

Find a wildlife rescue / rehab here: How to find a wildlife rehabilitator

Open some doors and/or windows and herd the chipmunk back outside. Brooms are really great to improve reach. I had a cat who always brought in live critters and with anything larger than a lizard, herding it back outside was the safest way to go.

As others have mentioned, opening doors and trying to herd it out with a broom or something may work. If you can corner him somewhere, you might be able to herd him into a cardboard box or other container. My cats used to bring in so many critters from outside, I had a dedicated 'Critter Box' to catch them in.

Good luck and let us know how things work out, Catslovepizza Catslovepizza .
