Help my cats tail does look right..plz help

Hi there, this happened to Grayson, have attached some pics for you.
It was a tail pull injury where the vet thinks he got it stuck somewhere and had to pull it out. Was damage to the vertebrae.
He needed steroids for about a month and he can now move it fully and lift it up.
Although he still has a lump at the base of it that will be there for his whole life.

Hi. I just want to thank everyone for being such great help about my cat. I'm sad to say we do have a different issue at hand but her tail is fine now

Does anyone know what this might be. They have these tiny brown reddish scabs , they dont itch at them but if u do they tend to come off there skin an go away within a day. They are mainly around the head an neck
