Hi y'all
This is my first time posting and I need desperate help. A week ago my beautiful Lynx point siamese male started having urinary problems. I immediately brought him to the vet and they determined he had a blockage. So that began a week of back and forths to the vet major frustration and a ton of tears and 1 panic attack on my part! They successfully deblocked him and sent him home but now he won't even try to pee... yesterday I took him back to the vet they tried to express him but found that his urethra is probably stuck together. They've done xrays, blood tests and urinalysis. Even brought in a cat surgical expert ,they were thinking the penis removal might work but in the end the surgeon said that's not the problem. So now he's back at the Vet with a catheter and on meds hoping and praying thathat his bladder will start contracting and he will get the urge to pee again. He's not even attempting to pee right now so his bladder keeps filling up!I can't afford to keep having him catheterized and I'm worrI'd to death I'm going to have no choice but to put him down. I'm having major surgery in 3 weeks I'm sooooo stressed out. Has anyone experienced this after a deblocking?
Please any advice? He's my baby boy (I don't have kids) and it'll tear me apart at an awful time if I have to put him down.
So upset and worried
