Hello! My family just adopted this super energetic little guy from North Shore Animal League in NY. He was 8 weeks old when we took him home, and is now 11 weeks old - and very small for his age. His appetite is enormous and we feed him frequently - we are wondering if learning more about what breeds he might be could help us raise Porto to be the best cat he can be! Thank you!

Hello PortoTheKitty,

Thank you for adopting Porto and giving him a warm loving home
For sure he's a Domestic Shorthair. Either he's a Mackerel Tabby or a Broken Mackerel Striped Tabby as the stripes are not clear in the photos. He's such a cute looking boy! [emoji]10084[/emoji]️

As he's just 11 weeks old, his has a big appetite. Kittens eat a lot and often. They need proteins to grow. Porto will only mature when he's a year old. So it's a long way for him and from now till then, he'll be a very playful kitten. And he'll go through many phases in this one year and please give him all your love and support.
Train him while he's young and he can obey commands. Just have lots patience and love. Make sure your house is cat safe. Are his vaccinations up to date?

Do browse around the site as it has got many interesting articles to offer and also please post more of Porto's photos for us to see and you can introduce yourself and Porto to the Catsite community under General Forums - New Cats in the Block.
Feel free to ask questions or check out the many threads we have here ;)

Excellent post!  Just one little addition:  proteins and fats - mostly from animal origin.
