Hi.  I have a 3 year old male that lives with his mother and sister (rescued cats) Never any problems at all, but he has started to spray.  He is neutered, and was at an early age.... Any reasons??  No problems in the home?  I can only think it may be the weather?

Another thought, are there neighborhood cats in your yard/around the house? I've heard that some cats become territorial when outdoor/strays are near.

Have you changed anything in the house? - laundry detergent, cat litter etc?

Mine will spray inside because of transferred aggression - a stray outside, they want to attack, can't, so they mark their territory. I had to put them on Prozac, which stopped the behaviour right away, then got them off it after the behavioural change sank in. But if a stray appears and they see it out the window, they will throw themselves against the window trying to get at it.
