We are a foster home for a feral group. We currently have a mom and three babies. She was a "feral" that I fed behind where I work all last winter and then noticed her getting fat in March. We trapped her and she had 5 babies 2 weeks later. She was SO clean, prim and proper, and so beautiful that I don't believe her to be a true feral, although not a lap cat, and has a temper. She now lets us pet her, she purrs, but is still feisty. The group that helped us get her want to adopt her out as a barn cat. But I feel she is more than just the 'average' cat. We have 5 of our own so can't keep her forever. Can anyone out there look at her pics on our slideshow online and see if she is "more than your average cat"? She has a specific look, coloring, the lined eyes, and wiry short fur. Should I be looking for a specific group to help get her adopted? I don't want to make her into a barn cat if she is a specific breed and can find another home. See her in the slides at http://thekeeneys.net/node/9
Please look soon and let me know if she's more than a stray, so to speak. She will go to the barn this coming week if I can't figure out something else!!
Thanks so very much! You can also email me at [email protected]
