Help Identify My Cat Breed

I adopted this kitten from a friend and he’s about 4 months old and I wanted to see if you guys can tell me what breed he is, my friend didn’t know either. Thanks!

he's some sort of mix. judging from that tail he's at least a little forest cat. it's hard to tell with kittens since forest cats don't always come into their own with their coat until they're 2 or 3 years old. they have dna tests for cats now. that's the route I'm going for my two unknown kitties.
