I've been reading this site for the past month and a half. We got our near 4-month old kitten about 3.5 weeks ago. What I like most about TCS is the amount of traffic. A lot of ideas and a lot of helps.
Our kittie is cream point himmie. He's very cool but also a rascal at the same time. Our breeder said that he's a "boy's boy". I presume that she means that he like to be the lead in his herd. When we first got him, he would try our patience with everything. He refused to eat the last of his food, scratch our sofa at every turn, claw our feet when we sit, refuse to try his brand smacking new cat condo, won't sleep in his bed...well, you get the idea.
Now almost here in our home for a month, he's so much better. Scratches mainly on the sissal scratching post, eats whatever I serve him (all variety, both dry and wet), loves sleeping by our feet and on his condo, sleeps soundly in his bed.
The only things missing: he gets poop stuck on his legs occasionally (very gross...
) and waits for us to go to bed before sneaking onto the couch to make it his domain. We're hoping he will correct the 1st as he grows up (we even got him a bigger litter box this weekend plus a butt cut). As for the couch sleeping, I'm beginning to think that he'll always sleep there...oh well.
Good to meet everyone. Looking forward to getting more advices and giving some myself as well.
