Hello,
I'm new to the forum. I have a cat named Calie the Calico Cat, but just Calie for short. She is a 8-9yr old, female, calico cat. Her name wouldn't tell ya that
. I got her when I was 9 or 10 yrs old. She is completely blind in one eye and partially in the other. She came off the street from a very sick group of kitties. Her eye has flare ups (runs and gets nasty) often and she goes to the vet when that happens. She is a shy and sometimes skittish kitty. She does come to me a cuddles up. She also sleeps on my bed.
Then, I have the new kitten. I just got him about one week ago. It has gone to the vet. I think it’s a he, I forgot to have the vet double check
. He is a grey tabby (tiger striped?) cat. He's kinda common or plain in markings, so I really didn't think I'd get him and almost didn't. I really liked the markings of another kitten at the Pet Shop and I also had a Shorthaired Persian kitten offered to me, a purebred and free. In the end I went for this tiny, little furball. He meows ALL the time, so that's what I call him; Meow. He is playful, but is also VERY cuddly.
Meow was too small to be test for FIV or FELV when he went to the vet. He didn’t even weigh a pound and the vet said he had been weaned too early
. He now has put on some more weight. The vet had me put him on formula wetted Purina Kitten Chow. He is now eating more solid food on his own.
Most feed stores are an hour drive or more away. Wal-Mart is the easiest place to buy the cats food. We are looking into Eagle Pack, but normally feed Meow Mix. I also own and care for several other pets.
Thanks a ton!
